Leadership skills How young MBAs can be transformed into capable leaders who can deliver results.

  • Organisations should include rigorous internships to supplement the learning in B-schools that is largely cognitive and idealistic

  • Put the newly-recruited MBAs through a transition workshop. Sensitise them to the industry

  • Organisations should train candidates to execute work under pressure and constraints so that they have real-life skills apart from intellectual skills

  • Train youngsters to work with other people or in a team and help them build up strong emotional resilience

  • Train MBAs to become wellrounded, skillful leaders. MBAs should be problem solvers and must have the capability of working and managing in disorderly conditions
