The domestic bourses opened on a strong note on Monday with the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex opening more than 200 points up on positive global cues.
At 10.04 am, the 30-share index of the Bombay Stock Exchange was up 172.68 points at 10,148.03. The Sensex on Friday had dropped below the 10,000 mark on panic selling by funds and general investors.
Except power, health care and oil&gas, all BSE sectoral indices were trading in the positive zone led by IT, FMCG scrips.
Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty was up 29.05 points at 3103.4.
